Fees & Insurance
This is a fee-for-service practice as opposed to an insurance-driven one, which has allowed me to provide the best possible individualized care, focusing on your needs. This was a difficult decision, but in the end, I have found that insurance carriers can often have restrictions and mandates which inhibit a therapist's ability to provide quality care in a private, outpatient setting. I strive to keep the depth and quality of our work high by keeping my overall caseload and extraneous workload low.

The fees listed are for incoming patients as of 2024:
-
$250 per 45-minute individual or couple session.
-
$300 per 60-minute assessment and/or initial consultation.
-
$100 per 90-minute group session (Must commit to 8 wks at at time, paid on date of session whether you attend or not)

Different fees may apply for patients with specific, legitimate needs.

Payment & Insurance

Payment is required the day of scheduled session through your patient portal. You will need to supply credit card information on my secure site, and a processing fee will be added to your bill. If you'd prefer, you can pay through Venmo. Payment must be received prior to the session in order to proceed with services. Thank you for your understanding!

Reimbursement from your insurance company may be possible if you have out-of-network (OON) mental health benefits and you submit paid invoices to your carrier under the terms of your contract with them. I can send you a receipt for services after each session and a Superbill each month which provides the information necessary to submit a claim (again, if covered by your health insurance or employee benefit plan). Unfortunately, I will not be able to submit claims or call them on your behalf.
Services may be reimbursed in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan if you have out-of-network (OON) benefits . Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
-
Do I have mental health benefits?
-
What is my deductible and has it been met?
-
How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
-
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
-
Is approval required from my primary care physician?

It is important that you check this information prior to our sessions if you hope to offset some of your out-of-pocket costs through insurance, as your fee will be expected regardless of whether they accept or reject your claim. The same is true if you have a deductible to meet. There are no refunds for services already provided. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Single Case Agreements
Also important to note, if you have a plan that does not allow you to choose out-of-network mental/behavioral health providers, they may offer to do "single case agreements." Due to some complications with this process, please know that I do not do"single case agreements," so if your insurance company rejects your OON claim for reimbursement, and you are not comfortable paying the out-of-pocket fee, we may no longer be able to continue with our work together.

Initial Session
Initial sessions are considered consultations-- a time to decide if we are a good fit and if you believe I can help you reach your therapeutic goals. Please note that I only become your therapist when you confirm that you would like to continue working together at the end of that first session. The fee for this consultation session is $300. Thereafter, session fees are as listed above. I have tried to provide as much information on this website for you to be able to make the best decision for yourself in terms of your time, investment and commitment to our work.

Cancellation Policy
Scheduling a session means that I have held that time only for you. Therefore, if you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, and do not cancel with me a full 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the missed session. You can cancel by texting or leaving a voice message. Thank you in advance.
